Where should I use Ground Guard?

Is it reusable? Can it be cut to size?

Ground Guard is fully reusable. It can be installed, removed, and reused across multiple projects without compromising performance when handled correctly. Its durable construction allows it to withstand repeated foot traffic, trolleys, and light equipment. After use, the roll can be cleaned, stored, and redeployed as needed

It can also be cut to size, making it ideal for protecting specific areas or working around obstacles in indoor environments.

Supplied as a continuous 1.5 x 50m (75m²) roll, Ground Guard allows you to cut exact lengths and shapes to suit corridors, rooms, doorways, machinery footprints, or irregular layouts. Cutting should be carried out using scissors or a safety knife and proper safety equipment.

Once cut, the Ground Guard will continue to provide effective surface protection. This flexibility helps reduce waste and ensures a clean, professional fit across a wide range of indoor applications.
How do you secure it in place?

The Ground Guard can be secured using Ground Guard joining tape and low-adhesive tape, depending on the application and surface type. For longer runs or where multiple sections are used, joining tape is applied at seams to hold the material together and maintain a continuous protective surface.

Low-adhesive tape can be used around edges or entry points to help prevent movement while minimising the risk of residue or damage to finished indoor floors. When installed on a clean, dry surface and secured correctly, the Ground Guard will remain stable under normal foot traffic, trolleys, and light equipment.

Always test tape on a small, inconspicuous area first and follow site-specific safety requirements.
Can I use it outdoors?

The Ground Guard is designed primarily for indoor surface protection, however it can be used outdoors for short-term applications where required. When used externally, it is important that the product is secured in place using weights, rather than taped down, to allow moisture to escape and help prevent water build-up underneath.

For outdoor use:

  • Secure the product with suitable weights at edges and joins
  • Do not tape directly to outdoor surfaces
  • Ensure the surface is reasonably flat and free-draining
  • Avoid prolonged exposure or use in heavy weather conditions

Outdoor use conditions can vary significantly, so suitability should be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Always follow site safety requirements and monitor conditions during use.
